Celia Compton is a visual artist from St. Louis, MO. Compton recently attended Bradley University for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Art History. She graduated in May 2022. The majority of her professional experience resides in research, teaching, and photography.
Compton’s work centers on gender expression and the cycle of life, often inspired by artists like Claude Cahun or Cindy Sherman. Her medium of choice tends to be alternative photographic processes as well as mixed media projects.
In May of 2022, Celia Compton exhibited her collection of work for the photography capstone at the Peoria Public Library and her BFA show at Hartmann Gallery.
